Check These Out!

These are some links I’m pretty much a huge fan of… feel free to check them out!

Infertility:

A Bug Odyssey (by NBM3… informative + encouraging)

999 Reasons to Laugh at Infertility (on a rugged and bitter day, sometimes it’s nice to have a laugh…)

Home Renos:

The Junkhouse Kitchen Reno (seriously, so beautiful – LOVE!)

Aurora Mills Architectural Salvage (if I could buy everything they have, I would)

Adoption – Blogs I actually enjoy and find applicable:

Rage Against the Minivan (by Kristen… about growing and parenting their transracial family – a family with kids who joined through birth, and via international & foster adoption)

Adoption Creates Families (by Laurie… about a transracial adoptive family who’ve experienced fostering, and adopting – publicly & privately)

Adoptive Dads (a fantastic faith-based blog by a group adoptive dads in the US… what a cool resource!)

Rancho Chico (a really interesting blog from a two-mom family who are raising their 4 adopted-from-foster-care kids and working through common issues like RAD, attachment, PTSD, etc.)

Declassified Adoptee (by Amanda… an educated and informed blog (primarily) about adoption reform and adoptee rights… challenging, thought-provoking, and a good starting point for understanding ethical issues surrounding adoption)

Adoption Resource Links:

Empowered to Connect (a faith-based site by Karyn Purvis, author of The Connected Child; probably the best book I’ve ever heard of or read about supporting children adopted from hard places)

Tapestry Books (an adoption-focused book publisher and vendor… that’s pretty cool, eh?)

Faith & Spirituality:

Rachel Held Evans’s Blog (One of few authors whose theology and approach don’t drive me mental… love Rachel’s stuff!)
